Discovery is paid, and the specification is yours.
Discovery produces a process map, a data model and a technical specification. You own that document and can build it with anyone. It is the only way to give a fixed application price that is still true at the end of the project.

Pricing questions
The parts people ask about twice.
Why are application prices a range rather than a number?
Because the price is decided by things a brief does not contain: the data model, the permission rules, which third-party systems have usable APIs, and what has to happen when one of them fails. Paid discovery answers those, and the fixed proposal follows. The ranges published here are honest starting points, not anchors.
Is GST included?
No. Every price on this site is in Australian dollars and excludes GST. GST is added to invoices where it applies.
What is billed separately?
Domain registration, third-party subscriptions such as Stripe, Twilio or a point of sale API tier, and hosting usage above the plan allowance. These are billed at cost, in your own accounts wherever possible, so you keep ownership.
Do you take a deposit?
Yes. Projects run on milestone payments set out in the proposal, starting with a deposit before work begins. The schedule is agreed in writing before anything is invoiced.
Can I change plans later?
Support plans are month to month and can be moved up or down with notice. Unused change time in a month does not roll over.
What if my project does not fit any of these?
That is common. The published prices cover the work we do most often. Anything else is quoted after a consultation, using the same approach: understand it first, price it second.
All prices are in AUD and exclude GST. Domains, hosting overages and third-party subscriptions are billed separately. Final pricing depends on scope, integrations, security requirements and project complexity.
